My hunt for God and His plan for my life started in 1984 where at the young age of 7, I realized that I was spiritually lost and in need of a savior. My passion for hunting began one fall evening in 1987 when my father took me out deer hunting for the first time. Since that night, hunting has become a HUGE part of my life. I love hunting so much that I am always willing to go to the extremes to harvest an animal. I’ll shoot my bow at practice for hours just so I will be accurate when the moment of truth comes. I’ll spend hours in the tree stand in hopes of harvesting that big buck or doe. I’ll sit through wind, rain and storms just to get a chance to bag that big Tom.
One fall, sunny evening in 2004 as I sat in my tree stand praying, God spoke to me and led me to go to the extremes for Him and combine my passion for hunting with my passion and love for Him. Just as Nehemiah felt a burden from God to rebuild the wall in Jerusalem, I felt a burden to reach the lost hunters and outdoorsmen with the gospel of Jesus Christ and also the Huntin’ the Truth message: to teach others how to “hunt” for God with the same passion, effort and commitment we have when hunt God’s creation.
All of the big bucks, turkeys and animals we harvest in this life on earth will not be going to heaven with us when we pass away. The only two things that will be in heaven is our souls and the souls we help win for Christ. So throw on your camo suit, grab your backpack and weapon and join us as we hunt for lost souls. And remember………..NEVER stop Huntin’ the Truth! JOHN 14:6

Hunting all started for me back when I was just a young boy following in my dad’s footsteps. I remember the first time going into the woods with my father as he carried a single shot 410 and I was along side him. He whispered softly and said to me watch where you step and be real quite, we are going to find a nice tree to sit by and wait for the squirrels to show themselves to us. Little did I know at the time what my father was teaching me while sitting there quietly and motionless. Now reflecting on those wonderful times in the woods with my father I realize he taught me the things that make a hunter successful. So here is a chance to tell him thank you for the time and patience he has shown me over the years, I have much to thank you for… Thanks Dad!Most importantly the biggest thrill I get out of hunting is that I have the opportunity to enjoy God’s great outdoors. I was born a sinner but by God’s grace I have been delivered from eternal life separated from God. Sitting in my tree stand I feel God’s presence and see His glory and handy work all around me in the nature and animals that I see, what joy! I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior when I was about six years old, I have been blessed to grow up in a Christian home where I have been taught the morals and the standards that a Christian should live by. Now knowing that I will spend eternal life in heaven with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I have a desire to share that with everyone. Being part of Huntin’ The Truth Ministries has been a blessing, how better can it get? Serving God and hunting all at the same time. As part of Huntin’ The Truth I have great responsibility to share with others God’s saving grace and love. My goal here at Huntin’ The Truth is to share God’s love and touch souls through hunting and the outdoors. My abilities to hunt wild game and be successful at it is all by the grace of God, May I always give Him the glory and honor He deserves.

It all started for me when I was about 8 years old, my mom and dad knew I was responsible enough to own my own b-b gun. My life would never be the same after that. It was then like is it today that all I want to do is spend time in the woods. Back then I couldn’t wait to get home from school grab my b-b gun and a pocket full of bb’s and head for the woods down the road from my house. It used to be I had to get something to be successful but as time went on it was more about just being out there.
I grew up in a Christian home with myself and four sisters so when my mother had a son that wanted to be in the outdoors all the time she really encouraged me.
I was baptized when I was eleven years old and grew up going on church outings with the teen group. Now my wife and I have a teenager and an eleven year old that were raising in a Christian home, oh yes my girls like to hunt also. I tell my kids all the time if they want to spend some quality time with dad during the months of October – December that there going to need to hunt. I’ve been blessed in my thirty plus years of hunting to have harvested some nice animals. Throughout the years I’ve found that it’s all about God’s creations and abilities that make us who we are. To wrap things up I’ve been enjoying the time spent with Huntin’ The Truth group and I know God has a plan for all of us. He’s opened doors for us and I know in the future we are going to change lives!

My name is James Polly Jr. You can call me “JP”. I am the hunting director here at Huntin’ The Truth. I am happily married to Elizabeth and we are blessed with two beautiful children. As a small child I often found myself trying to keep up with my father as he chased his Plott hounds treeing Michigan black bear and rascally raccoons. There were many frosty November days spent with mom trying to fill her deer tag. So many sunny afternoons I would slip through our fields and forest, stick in hand, pretending to be hunters of old like Fred Bear and Davy Crockett. The woods felt like home to me. I was at peace there. Not much has changed in the last 25 years. I still love the outdoors and you can still find me there much of the time. There is one big difference however between then and now. Now I understand why I felt so much comfort there as a little boy. God was everywhere I turned. He was in the warmth of the October sun that warmed my skin. God was like the towering strength of that old oak that I used to sit beneath for hours at a time. I remember hearing the sweet voice of God in every gentle breeze that rustled the leaves. God was even in the calm of that old creek that I waded through so many times. He had been beckoning me for as long as I can remember. One day I finally decided to give in to His call. I decided that I was tired of trying to do things my way. I surrendered and let Him guide me in the best direction. Proverbs 3:6. After accepting God’s son Jesus as my Savior and redeemer I began to seek His purpose for my life here on earth. After much prayer He brought me back to my passion of hunting and the outdoors. God has given me a passion to share the outdoors and most importantly the love that He has for you. So I urge you to open your heart to Jesus. Ask Him for direction in your life. He will never steer you wrong. Jeremiah 29:11. Life is an adventure and every day is a quest for God. I pray that God blesses you in all you do!
Now let’s go huntin’……………. Huntin’ The Truth!

First and foremost I would like to thank my Heavenly Farther for the opportunity I have in supporting and growth of Huntin’ The truth Ministries. As a pro staffer with Huntin’ The Truth it’s not only a blessing but a dream come true for me, serving God through our ministry and my love for hunting.
I’ve come to know and accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior at a young age. I have grown and still strive to grow closer in my walk and purpose that God has for my life. Knowing my brothers in Huntin’ The Truth ministries, I know I’m not alone when I say I enjoy meeting with God within His abundant Creation.
God has blessed me with a Christian wife, and our two wonderful little girls. My family has supported me all the while, pursuing with my bow anything from squirrel, rabbit, and woodchuck to wild boar, whitetail, turkey, and bear.
My passion for the outdoors started with my dad taking me out to help hang deer stands, at the age of about three years old from then on had it not been for my parents I would not understand , and enjoy God’s hand in this… “Our Great Outdoors”. May God forever bless you in your quest in the outdoors and in the quest of life, He too has for you.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I have always had a love for the great outdoors. I spent the first 11 years of my life in the Detroit Michigan area. My Mother's Family is from East Tennessee and that is where I came to love the great outdoors. As a young child, my family would go on vacations there, and it was through that, I discovered the freedom and purity of Gods Creation. When I was 11, my parents bought a house on some acreage just north of Lapeer. I was itching to hunt! age 12 could not come soon enough!. For my 12th birthday a family freind gave me an old Stevens .22 semi-auto rifle for my first gun, and then I enrolled in Hunter's safety shortly after. I had shot my first gun so much, that now it is un-fireable, because I wore it out! I started going to Church at the age of 7, and was 'Saved' when I was 13, but I did not truely commit to living a Godly life untill I was 25. It has been a wonderfull uphill climb ever since. Praise God and Glory to him! I came to Huntin' The Truth Ministries in January 2008. Huntin' The Truth is truely a niche ministry, and one that unlike any other. It has been a blessing to serve in HTT and help with Wheelin' Team 457 when I can.
Besides Hunting, I am also a writer who has been published 9 times, I love to write. I am also into many things motorized like old trucks, cars, tractors, machinery etc. God has blessed me with lots of talents such as being able to fix, build, construct, troubleshoot or fabricate just about anything. I love being outdoors, and I enjoy farming and woodcutting and just getting out in the boonies and exploring. I have had my hands into alot of things and have been blessed with many enriching and educational expirences. I like history, old time stuff, music, like Christian, country, bluegrass, old timey folk songs and rock. My favorite types of hunting are coon hunting, deer hunting, rabbit hunting, squirrel and pheasant hunting. In fact, November 2009, after 16 years of deer hunting, I bagged my first one, right behind my house. What a blessing to take a harvest on your own land. I am also a gun freak, and have had probably 150+ firearms of all types over the years. I currently reside in Silverwood Michigan, on the Lapeer-Tuscola county line, and I am single.

Fishing Director/Pro Staff
My love for the outdoors began at a very young age. My first memories are of my dad having deer hanging on the buck pole or a bunch of rabbits cooking in a stew. Or,my father giving me the tail feathers of a pheasant that he harvested while in a frosty fall October grass field. I would fish for bass and pike, in fact my first memory was of my great grandmother and grandmother fishing for pike on the Flint River. We would sit there all day with our chub's under the
bobber just waiting for a strike. My mom and I would go to Grind Stone City and fish for perch and walleye, I couldn't have been more than 5 years old.
As I grew older my brother passed down the torch of being the rabbit dog
and I got to jump on all the brush piles for a few years, untill I was old enough
to hunt. Every weekend I was in the woods, it could be hunting or it could
be just building a fort. I feel at home in the outdoors, the smells, the seasons,
the sunrises on Lake Michigan or from a tree stand, where ever I may be feels
home. I have fished the waters of Alaska, some of the best trout streams
in the world, hunted whitetail all over the state of Michigan. Traveled the world
seen its wonders and been in awe of its magnificence, this magnificence
was made by the hands of God. My journey as a christian started when I was
6 years old, remembering when the church bus would come and pick my brother
and I up for church ever Sunday and Wednesday. I was saved when I was 7 years
old, I'll never forget that day what a wounderful day. When I became a teenager I
began to go to the First Baptist Church of North Branch. There were several families
and friends that gave me direction in the Lord and just how to be a good young
christian, it was a great time in my life. I am a perfect example of our mission
statement here at Huntin The Truth, we say "We are creating and restoring
relationships with Jesus Christ through hunting and the outdoors". You see
I lost my way for awhile although I have always loved Jesus and prayed daily
my walk was of the world, not of God's Word. My brothers in Christ have
always been there to encourage me through the good times and the bad.
Through Jesus and my brothers in Huntin The Truth I have restored my
relationship with Jesus Christ and I have become a more Godly husband and
father. I've learned that Jesus never gives up on you so if you're reading this
and you have lost your way just remember Jesus never gives up on you. No
matter what you think about yourself or how far gone you my think you are it's
never to late to start your walk with Jesus Christ and restore your relationship
with Him again. I'll leave you with this... John 10: 28-29 and Revalation 3:5
God Bless and keep huntin the truth!
John 10:28
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any

them out of my Fathers hand."
Revelations 3:5
"He shall overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot
out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father,
and before his angels."
Genesis 27:3
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
